Version 0.3 Changelog (Finally)
Hello, I have returned. I've been working on this for only a day or two, as recently I went camping for the first time (a very memorable experience) and just a few minutes before finalizing level 3, I beat Shard Bearer Mohg (not the omen one) and the Fire Giant. I've been working on both beating these two bosses and level 3 (mainly the Elden Ring bosses) but I was away and needed a little break, sorry this took so long to come out. Here are the changes that come with version 0.3, some very big changes if you ask me.
- Most importantly, Level 3 is here, even though it's finalized, it's not fully, If i feel it may be too easy, then I will not hesitate to change it and make it most likely longer as well as more difficult. This is merely a test version of the level i mapped out on post it notes while camping.
- The main menu has been almost completely revamped, with some playability being added, so now you can run around as your favorite little cube in the main menu and not suffer like how you would in the levels.
- Probably the second most important, behind the third level, is that the volume bar has a use now, background music and death (and win) sound effects have been added, I intend on adding further sound effects like a running sound or jumping sound for Bob, our best friend of a cube. Btw, most of the music is very loud on default (full) volume. so i recommend turning it down quite a bit (to around 75% on the bar)
- As well, some smaller stuff I'll put into one point, the hit boxes on much stuff has been changed, most drastically the wall & ground detection moving closer to Bob, as well as the ground check being moved more toward the back of bob as to make pressing jump and just falling off of the end of a ledge much more difficult. As well, level 2 has been updated last update, with 2 secrets being in that level, level 3 and proceeding 4 should be much more speed running friendly, with me adding many gaps or holes in the linear type of play, providing for more time save, i personally have gotten around 00:55 on level 1, 1:29 on level 2, and 0:45 on level 3. I challenge you to beat these times, and leading from that I would like to add an achievement system to the game in the near future, with either update 0.35 or a much later one like 0.45 or 0.55.
Anyway, that's all of the changes and ranting I wanted to do, feel free to try and beat my times, or just play my game, not many people seem to (aka 0 people have downloaded it) so it would be very greatly appreciated to even have my game get a try by someone other than myself.
